My Note 9 Unlcocked Not Getting Pie Update

Hi, I asked this question as a guest and was encouraged to set up account so that I get better help. I just got the Note 9 and its unlocked. Its currently running Oreo with the last security patch on Sept 01 2018. I have tried to update it hoping to get Android Pie but nothing shows up. It says the best update is already installed. I will like to get Pie update on this phone that I like so much. Any help will be much appreciated.

OP needs to flash , it's to far behind on Oreo build .

Just bought it from someone but it refurbished on the internet. Overall in excellent shape.

Not new but refurbished. Works perfectly with Oreo right now. Amazing phone.

Hi, yeah definitely!
Download Odin 3.13.1
Go to sammobile and download your firmware ,all of this will be downloaded to your computer . Watch a YouTube video so you can get little familiar with the process ,and just tag me if need more help @mustang7757

Okay thanks a lot. Just one question:In case something goes wrong will I be able to go back to Oreo? I followed someone's idea here to install Smart Switch and back up my Note 9 which I already did but not sure about the software itself.

Once your on Pie you won't be able to back on Oreo.

But meaning brick or mess up the software , no you'll be ok this is Samsung official firmware

Hi, just to say that I was able to successfully update to Pie using Odin as you suggested.Everything is working fine right now. Thanks so much for your help. One UI makes me like my Note 9 even more. The Night Mode/Dark theme is among my favourite feature but I'm still learning the gestures. Thanks again.
