My Number on phone

How come my number does not come on the phone app but it does on contacts app?

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, but can you clarify your question? You want to see your own phone number displayed somewhere in the Phone/Dialer app? Are you talking about searching for your own contact information?

Yeah, like on my HTC m8, when i go to dialer app and swipe to contacts the first contact would always be me. My name would be at the top and pressing it would have my contact details (this helps when i don't know my number and giving out to others)

Mine does the same thing. If I open contacts from the home screen, my name is on top which has my phone number.

But if I click on the phone icon, then click contacts, it's not there.

Weird. I guess as a strange workaround, you could create a new entry and call it A and enter your own phone number in it. So next time you need to give it, click on the contact and select A as it should be on top. Other than that, I don't know how to get it to do like your other phone.

Same thing when you make a favourite contact, does not come up. Only in contacts app. Very annoying needs fixing tbh

It's a small change with lollipop. There is less things and options when you do go to contacts, using the contacts app button.
