My phone display has tiny black dots on it, is the screen broken or is the whole display damaged?

Display black spots

My s4 mini has black spots all over display. I had dropped it. Mobile works fine, can anybody suggest me is is just screen broken or whole display damaged.

You may need to look at replacing the whole screen assembly, but, like belodion said, if you could post a screenshot, that would be helpful.
