My phone froze while using WhatsApp, then never came back on! :-(

I was about to answer a whatsapp message then the phone freeze and went off and never back to the OS.

i tried hard reset and only the blue text saying recovery boot... and nothing more, i didi it again and then i was able to go back to the recovery menu, i cleaned the cache, and restart and nothing.

the charging led does not turn on either

At this stage with it looping back to download mode , I don't see any .

dont understand, what you say is that to see what data i have backup in that Samsung cloud i need to get another Samsung? there is no way to see what documents do i have there from a computer?

Your s7 might not have option to see on computer, I'll have to see on my computer, using another Samsung phone you can have those documents restored to another phone that's Samsung.

I honestly consider there is a EXTREMELY corroded app that mess up everything, ok, the phone has a physical damage, but i notice that was not until the phone had a completely discharged battery when he was able to even at least recognize the charge input, in other words, the software was so bad that the phone was unable to receive charge, looks like a hardware damage (not receiving charge) BUT how could it be? if today when i woke up i plug the phone to the charger and the red led came up, and a percent value appeared in the screen, first time after this event.

i let the phone to reach 50% and then tried to turn it on and Samsung logo came, everything good then... went back to a black screen and again to the previous state.

it is like if the system was loading fine then it loaded again that corrupted part and all went down.
id like to try to let the battery drain again and then force to boot into safe mode?

to do that i only would need the socket and the proper adaptor for the s7 chip, the heat gun, the gel and the software, i have the rest and moderate skills with electronics.

Tried signing into my Samsung cloud and says limited for now . So have to check back when it up again I get same screen as u did because it giving limited data

after the Samsung logo it showed the att logo, then went off again, then i tried again and did load the OS, i quickly plugged to my computer and extracted the 4 missing folders that i needed and that NO android backup app backup (because most people only want to back up messages, media and contacts... :-/ )

but i was able to recover 99% of what i wanted.

Samsung cloud excellent cloud storage as smart switch on computer or Samsung cloud on the phone.

I use to put things in perspective, if i am abroad, and loss my data and only device on hand is a laptop and i can not access to that backup, is not a solution for me.

You can also do back ups through SD card but I recommend not depending on that as a sole source , they can get corrupt and Lose things .

yes, that is part of the solution, in my case, my fault not to use the external memory for those folder, i never EVER would use a phone without external memory option lol.
For the next phone, i will continue using my backup pro for daily data backup and weekely media backup, that is for the data regular people want to back up, but still pending.
