My phone has been acting different how do I know if it was hacked

Is this a new phone? It's common for them to have bloatware installed, which is the name for factory installed unwanted apps (usually games or carrier specific apps). Many can be disabled or uninstalled author issue. Also go into your application manager and look for ones called App Flash (this may be Verizon specific), and Mobile Services Manager (formerly known as DT Ignite). You may have to use the option to view system apps to find them, but these apps allow carriers to install more bloatware even after the purchase.

After disabling those two apps and uninstalling/disabling the other apps you didn't want, let us know if the problem still happens and we can go from there. There may be something else going on, but always good to check the basics first.

Welcome to Android Central! It'd also be helpful to know what you mean by "acting different."
