Question My Phone Hates One Friend

I have an Android Galaxy S22. Everything works perfectly, except...
I think my phone hates one of my contacts. When "Sue" sends me a text, my phone blows up: it glitches, flashes on and off, and screens disappear too quickly to shut it down. I have to hold the side buttons for 10 seconds to do a hard shut down. Then when I reboot, it might glitch more. I have to do a hard shutdown sometimes three times.
When I finally get things up and running, I quickly block Sue. As a result, we have to chat through Facebook messenger.
She said none of her other contacts have mentioned this problem, so it's probably not a virus from her phone.
So that leaves me wondering how to fix this problem. What would you do?
Delete my messages app, losing all my texts, and then reloading it?

Has anyone else ever heard of this? Only HER number triggers my phone to go berserk.
Thanks in advance!
Lisa

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, and then ask Sue to text you again: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495/

If the problem goes away, then something you installed is likely causing the instability. It can be tricky to narrow it down further after that, though -- you may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem resolves. You could probably start with the apps that have permission to access your messages.
