Android Central Question

At the beginning of the week my phone has gradually started to randomly shut off. At first it was at the 20’s, then 30’s, and so on until it got to the point of 93% as the lowest it would go before it would just shut off. It will turn back on but it is always at 12% and won’t last until 0. It doesn’t feel hot and if I plug it in it will always be at the last percent it shut off on. I also found it dies faster depending on the app the order (from fastest to slowest) being Snapchat, PUBG, Instagram, YouTube, safari. I just want to know if I should replace my battery or not because my phone is rendered useless unless at home with a charger right next to me.

Sounds like a dendrite at 93%, that takes long enough to burn off that the battery drops to 12%.

Nothing you can do but replace the battery. (Dendrites aren't covered by the warranty.)
