Android Central Question

Hi, about a week ago I used the show surface updates setting along with an auto clicker to play a game. I was running the auto clicker quite fast and I left the app running for about an hour or two. I turned the auto clicker off and turned show surface updates off as well. When I go onto any page or app where the background color isn't white there's a faint pink ring around my phone and the phone flickers. When the background color is white the pink border isn't there but the phone still flickers. I can olso just about see where the pause button for the auto clicker was and the areas where the clickers were on the pink outline on my screen.
My phone still works fine but it's getting quite annoying. I've tried restaring my phone, rebooting it into safe mode, turning on "Disable HW overlays" and other things but none of them worked.
I'm using a xiaomi mi a2 lite. Please help!

That's called screen burn-in. There are a few apps in Play that claim to fix it. Screen Burn Fixer may fix it. If it doesn't, you'll have to have the screen replaced (and turn the brightness all the way down the next time you leave the phone on the same screen for an hour - leaving the screen on the same picture for an hour or two at high brightness is guaranteed to cause burn-in. (Nothing wrong with the phone - it's how LED screens work. It was also how the old CRT screens used to work.)
