my phone is in clockworkmod loop after factory reset

I'll help you when I get up. Ive had this happen to me, cause a friend did factory reset. It was very easy to fix. So you have nothing to worry about. You can either use fastboot, or anotehr way, i'm too tired to explain right now though.

ive read alot about about the fastboot but i cant find the file anywhere. is it a zip file or a image? any help with the file would be great

ok so i got into my phone now. these are the steps that are needed to be done

first ur gonna need the xionia file. ill post a link to the page where i got it.

first go and install/wipe to factory settings

then wipe cache partition

then go to advance and wipe delvik or what ever its called

then go to install zip from sd

then click choose file from sdcard

then click on the xionia file in the bottom.

its gonna install and do its thing, then its gonna say install complete

click back to the main menu and select reboot, the first choice

its gonna restart and install the xionia, after that its gonna start like a new phone skip the pages u could skip and then ull be in the main menu. dont add ur google account yet.

i turned off my phonne and it rebooted like new again, a few times. idno what im doing wrong or what else i need to do to solve this problem but i need help on what else i need to do.

i went to my phone info and it reads

android version. 2.3.4
baseband version. unknown
kernel version. 2.6.32.33-aospCMod
asop@aospbot#1
cpu version. ARMv6-compatible processor rev 5 (v6l)
mod version. aospCMod-VM670-20110601
build number. GRJ22

i never been on this rom but it got my phone running again. so now what else would i need to do to make it official. like so it wont start everytime like a new phone straight out the box. any suggestions on what i should do. thank you very very much guys.

i also mentioned how to flash it in that first post. should read a bit more.

are you able to get into clockworkmod? it has to be 3.2.0.1 or higher to flash this rom. 3.2.0.0 will not work.

also you need a correct root. if you rooted wrong, you probably lost root, which is the main cause of your problems

He switched to xiona

xionia has a habit of not wiping thoroughly when trying to install CM7-IHO ROM's. Before installing any CM7-IHO Rom its always better to use ClockWorkMod 3.2.0.1. xionia does have an option that will get you out of a recovery loop(advanced/fix recovery loop). It may work alright for the FROYO ROM's But why have all the hassle associated with it not wiping completely when trying to install a Gingerbread ROM. Ben there, done that, pulled my hair out. Download ROOT Checker from the market. If you used the ROOT button on SuperoneClick, you might find your root is gone. If that is the case then you might think about using the Gingerbreak .apk(it takes a couple of tries some times, but it won't mess up your phone) you can find version 1.2 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044765 get a file manager and and go into the download file in sd card and click on it. Select install, when its done select done.Leave file manager and go to app drawer and select it. Run it. It will take almost 10min. if it goes 12min. pull battery and try again.(it is a little picky about the sd card sometimes)If it still doesn't work or you've gotten a error message on the first try, reformat the stock sd card to the default setting, and try again. EDIT:I almost for got one of the most important parts, once it gets done installing you need to go to the market and get a Busybox installer and install Busybox. Check with a file manager and see where your su is installed(It's either in /system/bin or /system/xbin) that's were you want to install Busybox. Also,it doesn't hurt to update su from the market to make sure you have the most up to date version.

try to back out, reboot & try again. Or pull battery if it's frozen & try again.

ok it says that im rooted, now everytime i restart my phone it starts like its a new phone out the box, i mean everytime i start it. any suggestions

it keeps on doing the same thing, am i not installing the roms or something. everything seems to be the same

It's because you likely only had temporary root before, now you have permanent root after gingerbreak, so just have to reflash.

Do you have those links on a hotkey? lol. Seriously how many new threads are these people going to make instead of using the, what I thought, was the obvious one to begin with. We need a voting option to take away peoples posting privilege taken away...ok I'm all done.

lol, yeah I got tired of typing the same thing over & over, so just update my sticky if there's something new I need to add & point to it.
