My phone is a Samsung s9 and it’s more thn 2years old don’t know if I should change the battery or do something else

Try use a fan or hair dryer on medium cool for about 5 to 10 minutes ...then retry
 
What's worked for some is go into the app manager, clear the USB app data, then restart the phone.
 
I was having the same issue with my note 9. I took it to a service center and they cleaned the USB C port and I haven't had any issues since then.
 
Have you tried more than one charger. I have 1 or 2 chargers that I get the same notice from. As long as I don't use them I'm fine.
