My phone is stuck on ***LOCKED*** three Android robot screen, how can I fix this?

phone stuck on ***LOCKED*** three android robot screen

my phone was working all day until recently. I picked it up and it was on this white screen that has ***LOCKED*** on the top and three android robots at the bottom. its telling me to use vol up and vol down to select different reboot settings and the power button to select. The volume down isnt doing anything and the volume up is making the selection go down. The power button when held or pressed either does nothing or resets it back to the screen no matter what setting I select. Is there anyway to deal with this or am I ****ed and need to get a new phone? I have an HTC one LVW65000

i tried to reset it normally because it was acting weird. next thing i know it turns on and thats the screen its been stuck on for two hours

Have you rooted the phone or installed a custom ROM on it?

i have not. im sure what rooting is and havent installed anything custom. now its starting to factory reset for a minute then goes back to the locked screen.

It must be a software error. I bet its a locked bootloader that your dealing with. I suggest your take it to where you got it and ask them why its now working. Sorry I can't help you very much.
