My phone restarts when I press the power button (Zenfone 5 running on Lollipop 5.0)

My phone was water damaged and when I had KitKat 4.4.2 , Wi-Fi and Bluetooth , Camera weren't working but I could lock my screen. When I updated to Lollipop , my device keeps restarting when it's on the lock screen or simply doesn't let my phone to be locked! I can't lock my phone at all and so I have to keep my screen ON forever! Is there a solution for this? Thanks in advance

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, water damage can be unpredictable and progressive, so it's hard to say what you can do to fix this. It might just be the Power button, but the problems might still persist even after replacing it.

I don't have any water damage or any hardware damage to my phone. but I am having the same problem after I upgraded my zenfone 6 to lollipop from KitKat. please advice
