I had the same problem with my droid.
I just happen to be an IT support specialist and know a few tricks. This has fixed 98% of the phones; People bring me that are not charging.
Get yourself an X-Acto knife. get a good light so you can see what you doing, you'll notice the little piece in the middle is probably bent up or down take the X-Acto knife easily put it in there and push up go all the way around and that should do it. Clean the and of charger with rubbing alcohol they sometimes get mucky and do not connect. You'll see the raised lines on the connector end. clean any dear or mock you see. Make sure you don't leave any particles on the connector. Carefully watch it and telephone wait 10 to 20 seconds, then turn your phone on and you're done.
