You have to root using a different method. There was a step by step post on how to do it, but that was since replaced with a link to the simple root method.

Hey guys, thanks for the info. So if i'm understanding you correctly. I need to perform an UNROOT back to stock.. Then do a full root?
Is it the UN-root process that you guys are saying is the big PITA? What makes that part so hard? What is my brick potential here? haha.. I'm an android newb, but i'm a sys admin for work and i use all flavors of linux so i'm not a noob with running commands and scripts.

I think the unroot process is pretty easy and if I can do that without a problem then it has to be the easiest thing in the world

Unroot was the worst thing I've ever done in my life. LOL j/k But yeah the whole process is a PITA. The step by step is thorough enough but the actual process fails a lot and you have to redo steps a lot. Everything has to be just right for it to go through. My force was strong when I got it done.

I have not. I actually have ZERO coding/programming experience. Everything I have done has been because of awesome dev's that post step by steps and answer questions on forums. And from reading through A LOT of posts on forums for what seems like hours at a time.

hah.. let me know how yours goes man.. we're in the same boat here both being rooted with Unrevoked3 I'll be tackling it tonight as well.

Indeed it is... Enjoy that... and if you get aggravated dont ask me krap... Im still figuring that krap out... Worked once Failed the next worked again failed 3 other times after... Blehhh
For both i used ADB no Gui Wizards... so im good but the little easy boot thing is kool i guess...
