My S20 Ultra just shipped today!! (Early Release)

I'm so excited that I just got the email that the phone shipped early today! I mentioned this in my other thread that I had a feeling this was going to happen, because it's happened a couple times with past Samsung pre-orders. The pre-order was through Verizon and I will get my phone in 2 days (Sat. 29th)! Once I get it I will answer any questions that anyone has.

We go through this every year. They'll be shipped early, but the earliest they'll be delivered is the day before release day. It'll be sitting in a shipping warehouse somewhere for a few days yet.

My guess is lots of logistics are involved, carrier partners, stores and support everything has to be ready. Many of us here don't care about support or at least I personally don't since they are no help anyway. But they don't want to land in a situation and start shipping phones without support, carrier partners and many other things not ready. That's why they have plan in place and by this date have everything ready to ship etc, even though phones have been manufactured and good to go.

Rumormill is Samsung has issues to fix before launch. Looks like phones will begin arriving Tuesday with most arriving Wednesday. And the March patch (with camera patch #1) at same time. Looks like there's also an X55 radio chipset patch coming same time.

I keep checking the tracking info, but UPS doesn't appear to have picked up the item. This is annoying, because Verizon is stating that my phone shipped 2/28/2020 but clearly it's just a ticket generated.

Even though you're not getting yours till Wednesday, it's nice to have the clarification. The info on my account does say 2 day shipping by 8pm, so probably ships out Monday, then received Wednesday.

Most origin scans will start showing up tomorrow night and the phones will start showing up at our houses Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest Thursday. In the last 5 pre-orders I've always received my phone by Wednesday the week of release.

Did you order through Verizon? Sounds like if you ordered through Samsung they're arriving sooner.

Have you installed the FedEx app and checked for a tracking number? The apps usually show tracking before Samsung or the carriers.

Do you have an origin scan yet? I've only seen a few people with origin scans. Delivery dates aren't always accurate without an origin scan. In the past the date originally stated changes once the origin scan comes through.

My S20 Ultra for Sprint has a delivery date of Wednesday March 4. It left Kentucky yesterday and is now in my state in a city that's about 2 hours away from me.

If mine's end up at my local UPS depot tomorrow or early early Monday morning, I'm gonna think mine is getting delivered monday. Our local UPS depot is very small. I don't think it's the type that will hold any packages for a day..let alone 3 days lol

Hey, Well look at that... S20's are coming BEFORE WEDNESDAY THE 4TH just like I said! Sometimes I feel like people just like to argue on here, so they can be right even when they have the wrong answers

What I like to always do is have the ups and the FedEx app on my phone because that will show the true tracking once it's physically been picked up and all of that good stuff

Mine got updated this morning and now it says Wednesday the 4th. Maybe not Saturday but hey still before the release date..

Yours is ready for ups. It hasnt been picked up yet. In past I've seen a LOT of activity late Sunday evening into early Monday morning.
