My S7 Android audio goes mute when I'm in my vehicle and trying to use Google Maps or Waze.

I have tried turning the sound button on and off and also tried checking to see if the phone is muted but somehow whenever I am in the vehicle and I turn on Google Maps or Waze, the app will work in video but there will be no sound. Very frustrating
