I received my pre-order Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on Friday (4 days ago). Last night I put the phone face down on a table for about a minute and when I picked it back up the screen was off and would not turn back on. There was nothing particularly special about the table other than it had an old internal 2TB HDD on it, and 2 monitors.
I tried holding the power button down to hard reset, however that did not seem to have any effect. There are no LED indicators showing up on the phone, even when it is plugged in. I left it to charge over night, and now, almost 2 hours off charge, the phone is still warm, which indicates to me that the phone is still "on".
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Any recommendations other than taking it back to the vendor?
