My samsung galaxy core prime won't pass the encryption page

[AC Question]

I have a Samsung galaxy core prime phone. Today it went flat. I charged it and now when I turn it on it goes to the encryption page. I type in the correct password and the screen goes blank and then goes back to the encryption page again. It seems incapable of going further. Help.

Welcome to Android Central! By "encryption page," so you mean the lockscreen with password or PIN entry field? Or is this some actual encryption password that you set up?
