my samsung galaxy s6 froze last night after making a phone call

I tried to switch it off and restart, but that didn't work. I let the battery die. Started to charge it, and it wouldn't turn on. Black screen with blue flashing light. Rebooted it last night and left it on charge. It started fine this morning, messages came through. Soon as I started checking message etc. it froze again and switched off. Now it's switched itself back on and just shows the Samsung Galaxy S6 info and nothing further. This is the first time it's played up. Whats going on?

My S6 just keeps restarting

Screen goes black, shows Samsung Galaxy S6, Vodacom logo comes up, says Samsung which goes bold then dims goes bold then dims, then goes to Anroid is starting optimizing app 16 of 36.

Keeps redoing the steps above on it's own.

Now the Anroid is starting, optimizing app is down to 12 of 36

it did it again and its gone back up to 13 of 36??? then phones restarting again? Now it's jumped up to 16 of 36?

Tried calling my cellphone no. from another phone and it's off.

what is going on?

Looks like it's updating the software after firmware update.

Ok so what do I do now?
After the reboot it went to the home screen I attempted to use my phone and it froze again. I switched it off and took the sim out. Put it back in, and on charge, now it's not switching on at all, trying to hold the home button, power button and vol. down button now it's not switching on. Left it on charge.
