My Samsung S4 is dead after a software update. How can I revive it?

My samsung s4 is dead after a software update.

the phone prompted a software update which i accepted. it has not come back on. i have tried leaving on charge. i have even taken out the battery for a period of time and put it back in. it is still dead. please help.

Isn't while updating you don't charge it? So it can update everything without managing the currents (as android manages input current to prevent overcharging). CMIIW

Go to Recovery (Power+Home+Volume UP) and in menu set Factory reset, Wipe Cache etc. Should be work.
