my samsung s4 phone keep disconnecting from charger whenever i charge it.

i have this issue since a month everytime i go to charge my phone it disconnects from charger. but whenever i put it on flat surface and dont move my phone it works fine. So i am confused is there something wrong with my phone socket or its just the wire of charger .

It could be one of several faults, but fairly likely suspects are indeed the USB lead, and also the USB port, which may be damaged or dirty.

Most of our devices have a safety breakaway thing with the chargers. So for example one time it was handled in such a way that caused the charger to be roughly disconnected.... now it will always be loose and it's actually to prevent damage from charging with a defective cord.
I'd try another charger.
