My samsung s6 asks for a passcode after restarting my phone rather than fingerprints

But I forgot my passcode, is there any way to unlock using fingerprints or through google log in?
I don't have a samsung account and after trying to guess my passcode multiple times I've been locked out for 30 minutes. I'd rather not do a factory reset but is it my only option?
