My screen timeout settings aren't functioning properly

I own a LG Rebel 4, and I've been getting annoyed that my screen keeps turning off so I went to my settings and changed to to not timeout, but it still times out really quickly. I've tried resetting my phone, changing setting with the battery saver, but nothing seems to work. One thing I noticed is that the shortest timeout time is 15 seconds, but my screen times out faster than that, maybe 6-7 seconds tops. What could I do to fix this?

Try rebooting the device, if still happens try in safe mode .

This condition may occur due to one of the apps you've installed on your device. Enable the safe mode and check if the device work as you expect. If so, then try uninstalling the apps you installed recently.

Welcome to Android Central! As far as I know, there is no setting to prevent the screen from timing out at all. You always have to select some interval, the longest typically being 30 minutes. There are some apps on the Play Store that might help, like Stay Alive!
