My screen won't work and will only flash purple, please help! Note5

My phone's screen has stopped working, at first the display flashed purple when the power button was held down and the LED light was pulsing between dark and light blue. I could not turn it off, either holding the power button or both the power button and the down volume button. Right now the screen is flashing purple for no reason and the area of the purple flash has decreased a lot.
