Ok...I posted a couple weeks ago about the ICS upgrade being soon and I was surprisingly right...now I have a question so don't think I'm stupid haha...Ok when I click on software update and hit status I have everything blank except for one "O"... I do have the ICS ota but will that "O" in my status effect me getting this new update that supposed to come out this week?

The"O" is next to the word "code" and everything else is blank...I just want to make sure nothing is wrong...

I'm confused... you got ICS OTA and your status code is 0? Or did you flash the RUU of 3.14.605.12 to get ICS? If you got it OTA it should be completely filled out, if you flashed it from the RUU then the screen you describe is correct.

Either way, we don't know for sure be it is assumed it will be fine... After all, if you flash the official Gingerbread RUU you will get the ICS OTA update.

Ok I never do any of that stuff....it used to have info there then when I got the ota it went blank....I've never flashed anything...

I don't remember for sure, but if you did a factory reset then it might blank that as well... Either way, if you are running an official release you should be able to get OTA updates in the future.

Ok...I know I'm jumping the gun and I should probably just wait and see but I guess I was just curious if that happened to anyone else...thanks for responding...

I have the same thing. When my phone was new, I never checked that screen; so, I don't know if the info changed.

Note: I flashed the last 2 RUUs to get current. Unroooted.

Yeah but I didn't flash anything...hmm...out of curiosity I called Verizon and they told me we didn't get ice cream update yet and that is coming out next week...I told him he needs to do some background work because I've had it for a few weeks haha

The image Tbolt posted is correct for when an RUU is flashed.

However, a OTA Updated phone should look like this picture, however a factory default may wipe this information. Either way, IT SHOULDN"T MATTER, unless I am mistaken OTA updates do not check the "Status Code", they are looking for proper firmware, versions, etc.

Yeah my dad's phone has that and he didn't factory reset his rezound after like I did...must be it...I thought it was good to reset after major updates...

Ummm... I actually said it would look like that several posts ago if you did a factory reset:

... if you did a factory reset then it might blank that as well..

But you are correct, it is usually good to factory default after a major upgrade, if you are having any kind of issues at all. I did not wipe either of my Rezounds after the ICS OTA update and both are working great, but I was ready to wipe either one in a heartbeat if I needed to.

I thought it was good to reset after major updates...

It is! Prevents many problems that others experience.
