my settings icon on my phone is gone. how do i get it back

My boyfriend got a hold of my phone and now its totally different. My settings icon is gone along with half my other apps and icons. How doo i recovery everything back to how i had it.

Are the icons missing in the app drawer, or are the applications uninstalled altogether?
