I just bought a new Galaxy S6, G920T on Android 5.0.2. I see news on Net that T-Mobile pushed the update to 5.1.1. OTA, but my phone says it is up to date at current version 5.0.2. No help on T-Mobile site, although their forums say some users have received update. Tried Smart Switch app to look for update and it doesn't provide for it either. When should I see this update? Or how can I get the update without rooting the phone? :(

Most carriers push out updates by serial number batches. Maybe your phone's serial number hasn't been one if them yet.

Word on the street from XDA is that the update was halted since they may deploy a newer or modified update soon. I'm not sure on the validity of that, but did I call the Samsung Store inside of my local Best Buy, and they said that the latest update they have to flash to T-Mobile Galaxy S6 devices is 5.0.2 at this time.
