My Tablet can find the WiFi router but not the internet

Yesterday I changed my service provider and switched to a pppoe connection with new IPs and DNS. Prior to this my tablet was working fine, however, since making the switch my Tab connects to the WiFi and I can locate other devices on the Wireless network. MY Laptop connects to the WiFi and the internet, as do my two Samsung Phones, and a Sony Tablet, but my Samsung Tab connects to the Wireless but I can't get anything on the internet. It almost looks like it is trying to connect but fail because of DNS. I have deleted the connect to my home wireless and re-connected many times. Shut the device down and bebooted, shut down the router and restarted it. I took the Tab to another location and found a public wifi connection and it connected without problems. I seems just to be this one connection. I'm at the end of my rope and have tried everything I can think of.
A factory reset seems to be a pretty drastic action to resolve this! Any ideas?

I'm not an expert by any means, though i do have an idea that could help you troubleshoot this problem. If your router has a DMZ try using it just for the Tab. See if it can connect that way. Obviously you don't want to leave it in the DMZ permanently, so even if your Tab does connect this isn't truly a solution. Again, just trying to troubleshoot.:-\

I can't do that but if I go to any number of other locations I can get on with the Samsung Tab. But please notice that this is an issue ONLY with the Samsung Tab as I have a Sony Tab that Works, A LapTop that works and two Samsung Phones that work. So trying to make changes to the router is pretty meaningless. If I could not get internet access for any other devices then yes I need to look at the internal and external settings on the router. The Tab connects with the WiFi router but can not find an internet address. I can't tell if it can not access the internet or if the DNS is not able to resolve the address. My best guess from the way it responds is that it is DNS related, but then why do the other devices connect and resolve the DNS.
Very very confusing.

Check your router's settings and make sure you have both the 2.4 and 5.0 bands available. You are on the Tab 1 10.1 and that can only work on the 2.4 band.

It connects to the router just fine. It is from the router to the internet that is failing, and the router is set to mixed mode which is what it always have been.

It sounds like your tablet is using an address that your service provider is rejecting. You may need to call them and have them check your connection for their MAC Addresses and IP addresses. I had that happen once.
