Thanks guys. When I saw it, I recognized it as the same type I had for my iPhone 6s and it feels like a soft silk type feel but with grip. I believe it's some sort of plastic blend case but feels alot like then shapeable aluminum. It will or should fit like a glove. Adds basically zero bulk to the phone but full protection. I wished they would have offered it in the red color of my current case but their red was too maroon looking. I went with this deep blue. I. Looking for UPS any time now and will throw some pics up.

New slim and low profile case just delivered

A small lip only really helps for those who set their phone face down. I don't think it will do *anything* during a drop.

It could help if there was a small pebble on the ground (with a thickness thinner than the lip), which could possibly damage the screen.

Here's the case. Ups just dropped it off. Its exactly what I was expecting and the same type as my iPhone one I had. Has a soft silky texture but with grip. You can't tell there is even a case on but still full protection.

This Red case compared to the blue case I just received, definitely has a small lip. Its not overly pronounced but it does have a small lip. The blue case however fits so flush that you cannot tell there is a case on the phone. I've already put this Red Case back on as I like it a lot. I think I'm going to order one other color in it. Best case I've seen for the honor 8.

It seems that there is currently no screen protector that will cover edge to edge of the device and 1-3 mm will be left uncovered on the sides or top to bottom. I found one in Aliexpress that is made of soft PET, not glass, that states full coverage, it even comes with a cover for the back of the phone. I'll find out once I receive it if it does indeed cover the whole 2D edge screen.
