S20 Ultra Verizon - ATEC Camera Update Released Today!

So this morning I woke up with a little present from Big Red with an update for my Ultra. Not only was the May & June security there, but the ATEC (camera) build number came with it! Finally, took long enough but we finally got it. Hopefully it helps the camera in ANY way possible #GOdownloadnow!

PS. The S20 Ultra and S20 plus are the only two that have it for Verizon. The regular S20 didn't get the update for some reason.. Yet..

UPDATE** I just went outside/inside and tested the camera right now and wow what a difference. It actually works a lot better and I'm not just saying that, at least on my phone. Especially when it's close (macro) for auto focusing, it actually does it now without struggling like it used too

So, what other improvements are in this update?

I read somewhere the abysmal FPS functionality was improved? I just tested from the lockscreen (which is where I always had issues) and it instantly read/unlocked.

Just got an S20 a few days ago, and took it out for a photo shoot of my Corvette yesterday.
I am very disappointed in picture quality when compared to my S9. Colors and sharpness
are just not as good on S20. I read here that the other 2 versions received an update,
but not the lowly S20. If that update becomes available for the S20, do you think it will
improve my picture quality? I thought it was going to be much better than my S9... bummer.

I’d say give it a few days and see if you get it. But if you’re not happy with it than don’t keep it. Never keep something based on promises as the company may never truly correct the issues.

Yeah the new update has made it pretty much the best camera phone I've ever used. Auto focus and zoom are supreme.

Huge improvement in this area. In juts the few pics I've snapped, it has done far better than before. Just having the camera open and panning around, you'll see how it has almost no hesitation to remain focused and clear.
