So if I understand this correctly, a few updates have been released for the Watch 4. My Watch 4 updated as soon as I turned it on for the first time and hasn't done so again since. I have the 46mm Black Watch 4 LTE (NOT the Classic) that was purchased from a T-Mobile location. Currently, the software version in R875U*****BUH9. I understand the most current version to be R8xxXXU1BUI5. I have tried turning the watch (and phone) off to see if that would force it to update. No such luck. Any suggestions?

Probably backup your device then do a hard reset.

OK, just tried this and... nothing. Booted back up and tried to do a software up date. Says Software is up to date. any alternative way I can go about this?

It’s not for the LTE version. It’s just for the gps version. The LTE is a red headed step child.

Hopefully they are going to address the overheating messages popping up. I don't think the watches are actually overheating, I think it's a error in the software. My watch is never hot when it happens

I bought my watch from T-Mobile and have yet to receive a system update other than when it was originally powered on... Odd

There have been 2 updates thus far. An out of box day 1, which you got and one that is still rolling out (I got it yesterday).

I'd have thought the academy would've taught you some patience...

Also, there isn't a 46mm non-classic. You have a 44mm.

Patience, I have no problem with. Its the lack of transparency on Samsung's part and quite frankly, the lack of details in the reporting/reviewing around this device. I tried researching this issue. Nowhere on any tech site or forum that I was able to find, was it reported that the updates were only for the non-LTE (or bluetooth/wifi only) versions. So I figured I'd drop the question here on the AC forums.

Lack of transparency and samsung DO belong in the same sentence.

Oh man I hope so! It's been a problem since the original Galaxy Watch and really wish Samsung would prevent the watch from shutting down without at least asking the user for permission.
