I gave her the choice today..and she was checking out, they already scanned the Galaxy Nexus and had me sign the little signature pad for the contract....and she changed her mind and decided to go with the white SGS3 at the VERY last minute.
And she hasn't stopped playing with it since!!

She looked at the Motorola Photon 4G-LTE (Q i think)...she was really eye-balling that phone...she looked at the SGS 2...the LG Viper ...and even the HTC Evo 4G-LTE ...

She STILL went with the SGS3!!

And she's STILL playing with it, trying to "personalize" it. But her version of personalize isn't the same as mine. She's worried about pictures...and what she can ask S Voice..where I'm worried about my settings, auto upload of dropbox files...etc..

I just switched from the EVO LTE to the GS3... and I LOVE IT! She will be very happy with her choice!!

Maybe someone can chime in with the info for this next question:

The salesperson, guy that I spent quite some time talking with...he was giving me some info...
He told us he needed my wife's old Optimus S in order to the the Upgrade Now..it had to be "bought back"...so I told him "man, that phone is rooted and custom ROM'd.
So he asked, what rom was I running on it..I told him CyanogenMod...

Then he proceeded to tell me that his own SGS3 that he has is rooted, and running CM10.

I told him I was waiting on doing a custom ROM to my SGS3 because I don't want to break the secure element (Google Wallet) and he said just wait, because there was going to be an OFFICIAL CM10 released really soon for the SGS3.

Anyone know what is meant by "Official"??? I still would have to root and custom recovery, right?? I'm thinking yes..but wondering what is different about "official" Cm10?

I'm thinking he meant official Jelly Bean 4.1.1. CM10 will never be "official"

I believe when he said official, he meant that CyanogenMod considers the test builds are stable. When CM no longer considered a rom a test build, they become Official Builds. Yes I have read that the CM10 team is about ready to release their Official CM version for this phone.

CM10 will never be on an unrooted Phone. You will have to be rooted with a custom recovery to load any CM build.

Now for the life of me, I can't remember some of the things you can do with 2 sgs3's side by side. Anyone got a list of the things you can do with two of these phones next to each.

Swype'd with my Sammy Galaxy S3

Android beam, it transfers files like media, web pages, pictures. I know the nexus s 4g and the galaxy nexus can also beam files.

Look in the menu under more settings. You have wifi direct, so beam, all share cast and nearby devices. The is a short explanation for each in the menu.

Really? I thought it was only s beam (Samsung's improvement on android beam) that can transfer media files. As I remember, android beam on ics would send play store links to apps, youtube links, and contact info. Android beam in jb was when they added file transfer ability to android beam. Unless youre talking about nexus s 4g and galaxy nexus both on jb roms, then it makes total sense :P

Don't know about now, but when I had the nexus s4g it couldn't beam squat. The only thing that nfc did was wallet.
