Daughter uses an S7. Wife has an S7 Edge. Both on the same AT&T Account. Neither uses any text apps other than what is on the phone.
Last night at 10:40 pm, my wife received two messages that appeared to be from my daughter (appearing in the existing text thread between the two on my wife's phone). The text was a screenshot of a tweet posted by someone who is an acquaintance of my daughter, followed by the text "This may be about me because of Bob". We asked our daughter what the texts were about. She denied sending them. She showed us her phone. The two messages were not there. She did start texting friends at 10:41 pm, but she did not send any texts to my wife.
I looked at the usage reports on AT&T. The two mysterious texts do not appear on my daughters usage report as being sent. Nor do they appear on my wife's usage report as being received. I had my wife reply to the message. Her reply does appear on both usage reports. I went over the text history on the daughters phone and compared it to the usage report. They match.
We have no idea how my wife could receive a text from my daughter (when my daughter didn't send it) and then not appear on either of there usage reports.
Spoofing or hacked, maybe? How do I find out.
