Mystery Port on Xperia X10 mini pro?

In addition to earphones, headphones and headsets, what else will the Xperia X10 mini pro accept in the 3.5mm socket on the top?

The manual only lists earphones/headphones and headsets, but if you look inside the port, one can clearly see connections to accept input from some other device... Further to this, none of Sony's genuine accessories appear to make use of these additional connections.

My PSP (PlayStation Portable) has a similar port, with the additional connections being used for a remote-control and video output... Has anyone seen such accessories for the Xperia X10 mini pro?

Actually, the port is for a special headset. I don't remember the model right now, but it's a headset with built in remote for media playback, with controls for play, pause, track foward, volume, etc.
