mytouch 3g slide fail to boot after updating from 2.1 to froyo 2.2

please I need ya'll help... After updating from 2.1 to Froyo 2.2 my mytouch 3g slide fails to boot...
The phone actually turned back on but fail to pass the loading with the my logo... plz anybody I need ur help..

Hold the volume down button while powering on to enter hboot. When you get there you should see an option to factory reset. I forget a lot about those phones, but it may be called data reset or clear storage. Something like that. Try a reset and let us know if that fixed it.
