Hello. Is there a way i can change the settings of my screeen, so that it doesnt consume 55% of my battery? I don't trust this "sleep time". It's very annoying, cuz i play guitar, and search for tabs in internet, and it's annoying when the screen turns iff at the middle of the song. I don't have a live wallpaper, and my screen brightness is almost always at 30-40%.

I saw other android devices, and other nexus 4 devices and their screen was consuming 25% of the battery.
P.s. i usually get 3 hours of screen time. I get up in the morning at 6:30 and unplug my phone, and it almost drains at 7-8 in the evening. I dont use my phone at school so much. But home i use it intensive.

Screen on time is more important than the percentages. The percentages are relative to how much battery is consumed by other things. In one sense your high screen usage is good as your battery is mostly drained by your screen. 3 hours screen on time is also average. Apparently turning auto rotate off makes a little difference to battery so you could try that. If you are rooted then custom roms and kernels seem to save battery a little more.

Why not plug it in when at home.

Why not plug it in when at home.

I agree!

As to, " my screen brightness is almost always at 30-40%" - have you tried 20%? I find 20% serves me in nearly all indoor environments regardless of ambient lighting.

Regardless, the screen is the biggest consumer of battery life on any smartphone. The longer you keep the screen on and the higher the brightness level, the faster the battery drains. There are no other parameters you can adjust - lower the brightness or reduce the "screen on" time - that's pretty much all you have to work with. :)

I use the Display Brightness app to manually change the brightness as needed.
