So....I'll be honest. I haven't done a backup in like 5 months...and I forgot how.

I flash almost all the time but I haven't been backing up first. How do I do a nandroid backup on my EVO?

:-[

You shouldn't backup everytime you flash unless you plan on going back to it. I just have 3 back ups. Stock, cm7 and my current deck rom.

It's also not a bad idea to keep a good backup stored in the cloud just in case the sd card gets corrupt and you need to obtain a copy on the good. There are a few online storage options, Dropbox and Sugarsync are good ones.

Or your computer, spare SD card, thumb drive etc.

Good call. I already have 8 GB with Dropbox I'll do it there. Where are they stored locally on the SDCARD?

Yes. If you go to your SD card you'll see a folder labled 'nandroid', then go into the next folder you see within there, and then you'll see the dated backup file.

All that is assuming you're on Amon Ra recovery.

The same thing applies for Clockworkmod, except it may be labeled differently than Amon.
