What are your thoughts on Sony's apparent decision to go with a Nano- SIM over Micro-SIM for the Xperia X3?

I moved to a nano SIM when I got the Moto X and it's been great. I change phones often and have a mifi hotspot and use an adapter to make it a Micro.

Hopefully this releases on Verizon, I was excited to see I could pull my nano sim from my Maxx.

I'm guessing they made the move to save space, but also to facilitate iPhone switchers. It's interesting to see who they're targeting.

+1 on this. Ready for nano or micro with adapter.

I'll have to cut my MicroSIM but it makes sense if they're going after iPhone users.

I wouldn't say that they are going after iPhone users, it's all down to the fact that nano SIM's are available, and using them will give more space. HTC went nano for the M8 for that very reason.

I can't think why I would care, unless it was because I happened to already own a phone with a different size SIM.

Even then the carrier should be able to swap that out for you at no charge.

T-Mobile said they were going to charge me for a new SIM because I was having problems with my old one. But the rep was cool and gave it to me for free.

Yeah, SIMs should be free. I have no idea why not, it's a 2 cent piece of plastic that lets you use their network.
