I assume there is still no way to get notifications for Exchange e-mail received in sub-folders using the native Android e-mail client?

I am also using Touchdown which is great but before I buy the license I thought I would tweak the community to ask about the native client.

Thank you

Let me ask which one you are using, the Gmail one ore the one that looks like an envelope with the @ on it? I use that one for my aol.com account and at first i was getting notifications in a timely fashion. No i have to go into the app and refresh and a few min later they will pop up showing all old and days old along with new messages. I checked my settings on aol and they seem to be the same as always. But now seems that i may have to look into forwarding my aol to my gmail so that i get them as soon as they come in.

I am using the Envelope with @. Forgot to mention this is an Exchange account. I updated the initial post to reflect Exchange.

I receive Inbox notifications but any sub folder I don't receive any notification. When I go into the folder list it does show new e-mail has arrived.

Looks like sub folder notifications are available with latest Galaxy S4 update. Same is available with Galaxy Note 3 as well.
The sub folders which needs to be synced can be selected in Settings->Account settings->More Settings->Folder Sync Settings->"Folder Name"
Hope this helps
