I use the built in email app for my work email. Today while I was at lunch I deleted about 15 emails from my inbox. When I returned to my office those emails were still in my desktop inbox. I synced the desktop thinking that maybe it had disconnected somehow but the deleted emails remained. Has anyone else had issues like this. I've had my phone for a few weeks and this is the first time this has happened.

First, read https://help.aol.com/articles/what-is-the-difference-between-pop3-and-imap and see which account type you have. If the account is IMAP (GMail accounts are by default, but your work email could be either), deleting the emails on one device doesn't delete it on other devices. (The email administrator could have changed the type of email server - it's just [usually] a check box - without realizing the repercussions the change would have on you, the user.)

Turned off sync for email, kept the contacts and calendar. DL'ed Blue Mail to handle the mail part.
