NAV and cell phone use

I was using the NAV app in the car and made a phone call using bluetooth thru my car. When the call was complete, the screen went blank and I had to press the power button to get the NAV screen back. Is this normal? Is there way way to automagically have the NAV screen come back after completion of a call?
