Updated to Oreo via LG Bridge this morning...I'm on T-Mobile and am running Nova Launcher by the way. Anyway, my navigation buttons are now missing. I could have sworn that I manually did this through the hide nav buttons menu when on nougat, but that option is not checked now and I still do not have the buttons. They will appear if I swipe up from the bottom, but I want them permanently for the homescreen. I have uninstalled Nova and that did not help. The nav buttons are there for the stock Launcher. Please help me out if you have any ideas. I feel like it's just a menu hidden somewhere either within Nova or the phone that I'm missing. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, can you clarify this? If uninstalling Nova didn't work, but the nav buttons do appear in the stock Launcher, then which launcher are you using where the nav buttons are missing?

The buttons do not show in Nova launcher...they show in every other app/launcher. I was trying to say that I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Nova, but that did not help. I think it's a bug within Nova and Oreo from the little I can find on the net....I didn't have this issue with nougat. Thanks for your reply.

I have Nova and the nav buttons do show and can be set to stay.

But because I have my swipe up (set in Nova) to bring up the OK Google feature, it is a bit problematic to get the tiny little square to appear to the left of the nav buttons which when pressed to become solid square will lock them so they stay (in place for the most part).

For some reason, I cannot get a screen capture to capture that, otherwise what I am saying would make more sense.

Ah, I see. Try backing up your Nova setup (either locally or to Google Drive), then go to Settings>Apps, select Nova, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Open Nova again and restore the setup. Does the problem persist?

Yeah, 8.1 on a Pixel 2 XL. I wonder if it could be some issue specific to Oreo on the V30 (but then again, I haven't tried the option to hide the nav bar on my phone yet).

I think there is some issues after the Oreo update. I was using the side loaded Pixel Launcher as my default home screen and now the nav buttons can only be white or black via the settings. It is no longer transparent like the default home screen on the V30. I tried the Microsoft Launcher and the old Google Now one, both only being solid white or black for the nav at the bottom.
