Navigation Bar Keeps turning white

My nav bar is normally black to match my wallpaper. But randomly it turns white. Anybody know how to fix this?

On my S8, I have the option to have the nav bar color change with the background. Dark background >>> dark nav bar, light background >>> white nav bar. You should be able to turn that off and select a dedicated color if that's what you want.

I have the same problem since last update. Only way I can fix it is a reboot. I have "apply current theme" checked in nav bar settings (material black). Annoying.

Yes. The reboot is the only solution for me so far. I got this S8+ only about a week before the last update for US Unlocked versions so I don't have a ton of "before" history. But I do believe it is related to the last update.

Is the issue happening in all apps, or just some.

I had most showing correctly, but a few showing white. An app called "Navbar Apps" resolved that -- enforced the black navbar throughout all apps.

It happens in all apps and even on the home screen. Horrible. Thanks ECM.

Just got home from work and put the nav bar on "hide" which works but kind of a PITA to keep swiping up every time I need it. Will try a different black theme. Fingers crossed. That white nav bar looks hideous when it pops up on my black screen.

The dedicated colors that show on mine since the update are all pastels and I want a black theme. I do have the "apply current theme" switched on, but unless I hide the nav bar altogether, it keeps reverting back to light when I back out of apps.

OK, I take it back... Hiding nav bar doesn't work. Just got the white nav bar on home screen again when I backed out of this app. Will try the different theme. This has to be a bug from latest update. Never happened in the month I had the phone prior to update.

I use a black theme and this app. Somehow it lessens the instance of white navbar. Only few apps still show white navbar.

Doesn't matter. It just failed. Nav bar turned white at the home screen. Crap.

Feeling your pain. I've tried several things... Theme change, launcher change, settings change, even hard reset. Works for awhile and then the damn white nav bar shows up on my beautiful black-themed home screen. I give up. Has to be a bug from the recent update that added the option to hide the nav bar. Too tired to mess with it anymore. Oh well... We sure tried (wink/grin)
