Navigation Bar Keeps turning white

Have any of you tried to adb the black color back? This is the code I used and my nav bar stays black unless I open the browser which it's should go white to match it. After exiting though it goes back to black.

Turn off "use theme colors" in the display settings and after applying this do not pick any of the new colors or it will reset the nav bar again and you will need to re-enter the adb command.

adb shell settings put global navigationbar_color -16777216

adb shell settings put global navigationbar_current_color -16777216

Feeling your pain. I've tried several things... Theme change, launcher change, settings change, even hard reset. Works for awhile and then the damn white nav bar shows up on my beautiful black-themed home screen. I give up. Has to be a bug from the recent update that added the option to hide the nav bar. Too tired to mess with it anymore. Oh well... We sure tried (wink/grin)

I usually have this issue only while using Nova. When on stock launcher, nav bar always stays black. I've also noticed this happens only after using split view, and not everytime but randomly.

Used both Nova and stock with same results. And you're right, seems completely random.

Used Nova, Action Launcher and Stock launcher. In all 3, my navigation bar don't turns white for light theme and black for dark theme. Restarting the phone resolves it for some time.

It's completely random.

Hopefully Samsung fixes this via an update soon. This almost makes using split screen impossible

Yes! Happens with split screen and I use that option multiple times a day.
Would think a software update should be imminent, given the split screen option is something Samsung has touted as a big usability factor. Not holding my breath though re: update.

I played with the split screen a bit. Found that every time i drag the middle split bar to top/bottom to make one of the app full screen, then the issue will start.

I found a workaround also instead of doing a phone reboot.

To fix the nav bar, first open two apps in split screen mode.. Now drag the middle bar to bottom till end to make top app full screen.
Again open two apps in split mode. Now press and hold nav bar recent apps button to exit split mode.
Then check the home screen.

Let us know if it works for you..

I tried it about 8 time and got it right about 2/3 of the time. An improvement! Thank you!

found something else that seems to work. I use Nova, if that makes any difference, but don't think so.
open 2 apps in split screen. tap the little white part of the separation bar to bring the menu bar up. tap the picture in picture square to minimize one of the apps then tap the X to close the little window. no white bar for me when going back to home.

Thanks! Yeah the apk works and I was using it. Had to lend my computer to my daughter for a month or so 2 weeks ago and have since factory reset my phone so had to do a work around.
Wish Samsung would just give us a software update. Doesn't seem like it would be a difficult fix.

Maybe I'll try a different black theme and see if it makes a difference. It went back to the white nav bar again when I backed out of this app a few minutes ago.

I've tried a different black theme and hasn't changed. The issue i have is at times the icons on the nav bar go white at the same time as the nav bar so virtually disappear. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure the nav bar is not just hiding? You may have touched the little dot to the left that hides the nav bar? Could you post a screen shot?
