Agree with the previous comment.... Where and what phone do you have?

I'm using an S8
settings > display > navigation bar > Full screen gestures > gesture hints off.
that should do it
set the order of the buttons and just swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
I wanted to post a picture of my settings but couldn't do it
