NE2 Rebate Question

Tomorrow I will be eligible for an upgrade with a $50 NE2 rebate. I am upgrading from the Droid X to the Razr Maxx.

I know if I order online, the rebate is applied instantly. What if I go into a Verizon store? Is the rebate applied in the store or do they mail it to me?
