I left samsung for the LG V30 and I'm not sorry. The V30 is a great phone. I left because most of my music files are in high res(flac, DSD and MQA). I know that the S10 has dolby atmos, but does it have a true hifi dac like the LG V30? I know you can get a music player app to play those files, but the fact remains that without a hifi dac(like the ESS Sabre quad dac), you will not be listening to your music in high res. Meaning it would force me to carry around a sroarate dap.

From what I'm seeing on the manual, not quite but I see these points. You might have already tried these:

This is from page 113, in case you are curious.

It will not have the quad dac. That is the only area where lg really shines. I doubt Samsung, or most companies, put it in there because such a miniscule percentage of people care.

It's not QuadDAC. LG is the only one that does have it. It does have a 32bit Cirrus Logic DAC, but it's not at the same level as LG's.

Actually, the cirrus logic dac is pretty damn good. At least that puts it into high res territory. Thanks.
