i have a 1000mah 12v usb charger i want to use to charge my phone in the car. i bought a 15f usb cable on ebay because i wanted to use the 12v outlet in the trunk because i hate having cords all over the place. it was able to charge the phone, but very slow. like 4% over a 30 minute drive. i then tried the charger with the oem cable in the up front outlet and it worked great and fast.

so now my 2 choices are
1. get a longer usb cable that works
2. add an additional 12v outlet in the front of the car.

so does anyone know of a good high-speed cable that comes in long lenghts????

Whenever I need cables of any kind, I hit monoprice.com. They had great quality stuff and I've always found their prices rock bottom.

Here are their USB->Micro (5pin) cables:

I just bought a 1.5ft version for my vehicle (to charge the 3VO) and it works great.

Monoprice is an excellent source for all cables. Been buying from them for years.

The 2nd one appears to be a larger gauge and may not attenuate as much, so I'd go with that one, if there's not a heavier gauge for that long of a run.

That is the one I purchased for my wife and I to use and we have no issues. Charges the same as my OEM cable. Shipped quick. I like using Monoprice for both work and personal.

uhhh, I bought the 15ft one and it's a different type of cable than what I need to charge my phone >_>

I don't think it's worth returning because they don't refund shipping and the cable itself is worth 1.44.
