Need a password manager app

In reference to earpods/earbuds issue. You cannot use the up/down function, it just won't work on Android devices. You can install one of the headphone/earphone apps to manage how hitting the main button triggers actions. Phillips has a free app that you can play with, give that a shot, I liked that one the best.

I agree with mSecure. Works great and keeps passwords, website, credit card info, anything you want encrypted and can sync to Dropbox and between phone and computer. The phone app and separate desktop app need to be purchased separately, but it's been a lifesaver remembering those things.

On top of that, mSecure even has the feature to generate strong passwords for you. Which can be easily copied from the app to paste onto your browser.

HI, i would go for KeePass if it automatically detects the fields, fills in appropriate data then press the sign in button for me, can it or another Android application do that? I'm using Opera mobile and Dolphin.
Opera for desktop can fill in that way pressing CTRL+ENTER.
(not yet installed anything)

I too have used 1 password on my old iphone and just switched. If you have 1 Password on a desktop PC or mac then it does still work. The only thing is on the nexus 4 you can't create new entries, but you certainly can log in and use them. You would have to create new enteries from 1password on your desktop pc/mac. I do this and I am happy with this. But if you are not or dont have it then I would look at those suggested. I am going to have a look myself as I don't like not being able to 'create' on my nexus via 1Password.

I use PasswdSafe by Jeff Harris. I originally started using this years ago as an open source app on PC. It eventually evolved to include the mobile platforms. You can manage on both PC and mobile and copy over the database respectively to keep them synced if you want.

I read Jerry Hildenbrands review of Dashlane and tried it. It's awesome. Some of the others confused me but Dashlane is very straightforward. Works on multiple platforms as well.

Keypassdroid is what I use. The password file is stored on drop box, the windows 7 PC, iPad and nexus 4 all link into it.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a great, secure password manager app for my android phone. I used password one on my iPhone and ipad mini, but as far as I can tell this service isn't on the play store. So I need recommendations for another service on android that's going to provide me with a secure place to manage my passwords.

Thanks

LastPass all the way! It is multi platform but I am not sure of their android version. This might be helpful:

"If you would like to use LastPass for Android's input method to fill into apps, you must not move the app to the SD card"
"LastPass is free for use on the desktop, but if you want mobile access, you need a premium subscription for $1 per month"

I've been asking the same question with certain requirements for a password manager app (good-looking UI, fast load times, cross platform functionality, automatic syncing is nice too, and most importantly; how secure it really is) those points being said, you never know until you DL them and test them out given if they're free options

Thanks to the OP for causing me to think about this. Like deano131, I have been using Roboform for years on my laptop and desktop. I had not thought about a Roboform app. I looked into msecure, but it was $10. I upgraded to Roboform Everywhere for the same price and just sync'd everything. Roboform makes you jump through a few hoops to get this done, but it's not too bad once you realize that your Roboform license number is your user ID. Oh yeah, everytime you upgrade your Roboform, they give you a new license numbere (user id).

Check out jVault. You can try the trial version called jVault Lite in the Google Play store. There's also the companion desktop version called jVault Desktop that allows you to transfer data between the Android and Desktop machine via your personal online Dropbox folder. The desktop version is free, and runs on Windows and Macs.

I like B-Folders. Really simple to use. It stores passwords locally . App synchronize between other devices including PC via wi-fi network not cloud. It stores passwords, credit cards, notes and etc. The UI interface is simple to use but lacks design(kinda reminds me of windows xp application era design) other than that the best password manager ive used and its free.
