NEED ADVICE FOR UPDATING RADIO FROM MR1 TO MR2...Thanks

i am rooted and still currently on MR1 radio... i have CM7 1.2 and i am considering upgrading my radio to MR2 or MR2.5 but i keep hearing mixed things about them... if i want to update radio to MR2 and then another CM7 rom do i have i to do a complete wipe or how do i go about doing so?... and also do any of you advise staying with MR1? I am a noob and this is the first device i have rooted. Thanks in advance to any replies.

I personally would go with mr2.
I am running das bamf sense 3 rc4.9

put rom on root of sdcard
install clockworkmod via rom manager (get rom manager from market)
then go into recovery. Wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvick.
Then select install a .zip from system or sdcard (something like that)
press up and it iwll take you to your .zips
choose the rom and it should install. Once installed you will be taken back to recovery mode.
just choose to boot normally into your phone.
once you're in put the radio should be named PG05img.zip into root of sdcard)

Then after all that is done, your rom most likely will have load into bootloader when holding the power button. For example i hold my power button > choose restart > choose bootloader.

So once you've loaded into bootloader, just wait and it will ask you to update your radio, press the volume up button and the radio will auto update.

Once this is done, delete pg05img from root and be on your merry way.

No it doesn't matter which you flash first.. I personally did the radio first.
You don't need to be on the stock rom... just make sure you flash a compatible rom after you flash the radio.. or vice versa.
